Quick facts about Zika, Malaria and Dengue virus Part 2 (3)

Dengue virus is spread by mosquitoes and is a virus in the flavivirus group. The spread is greatest in a belt around the equator. You get headaches, back/muscle/joint pain and vascular shot eyes. After a few days it looks like measles. The incubation period is 5-10 days. The recommendation is to protect yourself with insect repellent, solid clothing and mosquito nets. A strong or fan is can keep the mosquitoes away.
